The DC Besties Awards (fans voting the best moments, photos, etc. of the Declaration Tour)
Hello DCO! As discussions have been on-going about the very best of this wonderful Declaration Tour, I thought it would be fun to start the DC Besties – awards based on the very “best of” from this journey. We can not only recognize the performances themselves, but take a few moments to thank the wonderful photographers and videographers who have been so kind as to share them with us all. This is fan-organized activity that is just for fun and not a part of any official DCO plan, initiative, or plot.
How it works:
- Take a look at the categories and feel free to nominate your favorite video or photo for all that apply. And please note that category in your post.
- Please be sure to credit the photographer/videographer. We need to know who to give credit to during the awards ceremony.
- Remember to include links so that others can review your nominations easily.

Once the nominations are all in, we will compile a reasonable number of final nominees in each category (based on feedback here) and everyone will have the chance to vote on all of the categories. Results will be posted and appreciation to those who provide us with these wonderful cookie crumbs will be given.
Nominations for each category will be taken through the end of the tour (specific date to be announced once the calendar is fully know). Finalists will be announced a couple weeks later, and the winners soon-there-after.
Please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns. We are just getting our ideas in order for this thing, so please know there may be some tweaking and changes that occur.

Good ideas, Coolshades. I'll work on putting the links in. I have a spreadsheet with everything organized, so I should be able to accomplish that without too much trouble.
Re: Extending the deadline, I do believe that is going to be the case. We definitely want to include all the D-Tour stops for potential goodies. When I posted this, it was close to the last date and I thought we might be able to announce winners before the holidays. But, I'd much rather extend the dates because of all the wonderful show announcements. I'll amend that portion of the OP as well.
If anyone else has other suggestions, please feel free to post them - I love input!!

I have a recommendation...
Could you put links in the main post to the nominees? Sort of like Lisa does with the links to the concert vids. You could just add the links next to the appropriate categories. That way we can know which categories need nominees without having to dig thorough the entire thread.
Also, why are the noms only going through November 5th? Since the tour had been extended through December, shouldn't we extend the deadline for submissions as well? I don't want good vids and pics to be left out because they came about after the cut-off date, ya' know? lol
Anywho, as it gets closer to the cut-off date, I'll try to make time to dig through my collection of [insert embarrassingly large number here] Andy pictures and find a nominee or three for category #19.
